The Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine is New Jersey's first school of acupuncture. Founded in 1997, it is approved by the New Jersey State Department of Education and the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development and it is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM), the organization that sets and maintains the standards for acupuncture schools nationwide. Graduates receive a Diploma in Acupuncture and are qualified to sit for the NCCAOM national board exam, a prerequisite for state licensure.
The Eastern School is located in the scenic township of Montclair. Its central location, near major highways, gives it easy access not only for New Jersey residents, but those living in Pennsylvania, Connecticut and New York, as well.
